CFOs live in a world awash with breakthrough technology that promises to make everything from accounts payable to payroll to—someday, and with the hope of advanced AI—deep strategic decision-making faster, and more data-based.
But if you really want to grab their attention in this world-of-tomorrow era we’re in, it helps to bring along some tiny Lego men.
That’s the big takeaway from the show floor tchotchkes at the 2024 Finance & Accounting Tech Expo this week in New York.
There were, of course a wonderful array of notebooks and water bottles and the like. But there were also a looney menagerie of stuffed animals, shirts with puns puns puns and an aggressive array of glowing, blinking, seizure-inducing rings that should probably carry warning labels.
